Welcome back Cars fans! Tonight I'm taking a brief look at the Mattel Cars 3 1:55 diecast of Shannon Spokes— who finally, after two years, is available as single-pack release (previously only available in multi-packs)! I've been waiting for this to happen ever since I saw her included as a "First Look" in THIS 2017 Piston Cup Race 5-Pack, since I didn't want to fork out for the other four cars in the set that I already had. This release of Shannon is part of the 2019 "Florida 500" sub-series.
Note: Shannon was also released this year as a metallic "Scavenger Hunt" diecast, seen HERE.
As shown in the screenshot above, Shannon Spokes can be seen interviewing Lightning McQueen during the film's opening "Run that Race" montage. She is an on-the-track reporter in the Piston Cup Racing Series.
FUN FACT: Her name is based on Shannon Spake (who also voices her in the film), a NASCAR correspondent and college football and basketball reporter for Fox Sports.
