Toy Story: Falling With Style Track Set

Here we have yet another fantastic item from my Toy Story Collection... the "Falling With Style" track set from Hot Wheels! It's almost straight out of the film, except that the loop is quite a bit smaller (in the movie, Buzz is able to ride the car through the entire loop. That's not possible here). Even though it's not the exact scale as it is in the movie, this set works great and looks awesome. I would absolutely recommend it to any Toy Story fan/collector.

Check out the Screen shots below to compare the set featured in the film:

This set comes with the same "Red Baron" car from the classic scene and includes a 1:64 scale Buzz figure to ride on top. After the track/loop is assembled (it takes just 5-10 minutes), attach the top clamp to a dresser, night stand, desk, etc. Last but not least, adjust the "catch ramp" near the bottom and your ready to send Buzz flying down the track. Check out my Vine video to see this track set in action!

Cars 2: Crabby Boat

This deluxe rolling Crabby Boat from Mattel goes great with the Disney Store Combat Ship posted earlier! Crabby here is from the Cars 2 "Quick Changers" line and is completely made of plastic. Disney Store released a diecast version which is pretty neat and has a bit more detail, but both of them are not completely in scale with the movie (see how small Finn is compared to Crabby in the screen shot above).

Press the button on his head to reveal or conceal Finn (or any other character) as the "secret rotating  deck" spins. To see Crabby in action, check out my Vine video!

Here is a scale comparison with the Disney Store Combat Ship:

Recreate the opening scene from Cars 2!

Overall, this is a fun release and works with Mattel's 1:55 Quick Changers plastic cars or their diecasts. Your Cars 2 collection is not complete without Crabby so go grab one on Amazon if you don't have him yet...he's on sale for only $5.89 currently! Great deal.

Toy Story 2 & 3: Emperor Zurg

With the release of Toy Story 2 in 1999, kids all around the world wanted their own Evil Emperor Zurg to go with their Buzz Lightyear toys. Years and years passed and there was never a Zurg released in scale with the movie. Finally, in 2012, Disney Store and Disney Parks released this exclusive full size Zurg talking action figure!

This toy is great...and long awaited! He talks and his eyes and mouth light up but there is no working ion blaster and no "Zurg Vision" which may disappoint some fans. Other than that though, this is a very movie accurate Zurg that goes hand in hand with the "Toy Story Collection" Buzz and other toys. It was first released as a 2-pack with the Disney Store Buzz with karate chop action and then was released as this single figure soon after. This is a must have for your Toy Story collection so get it while you can! Disney Store products often become very rare once out of stock.

Also, Check out my Vine to see a brief video of him and some of my other toys & collectibles in action:

Cars 2: Combat Ship

Welcome to today's post! Today we have the Disney Store exclusive Cars 2 Combat Ship! This is such a cool item for fans of Pixar's Cars series. I don't typically collect the 1:43 scale Disney Store cars (in fact I don't have any and sold the three that came with this ship; hydrofoil Finn, welding torch Acer and welding torch Pacer ). I've only ever focused on collecting Mattel's 1:55 scale line but this was too awesome an item to pass up! Mattel never made a Combat Ship in scale with their diecasts (they did have one for their action agents though but I found that too small) so this was my chance to get this character! It works great with Mattel's cars and I feel it may be even more to scale.

It's big, it has lights, sounds, pop out weapons, rolling wheels and even works as a carrying case! This was originally released in 2011 (I missed it then-it also had different cars included) but had a brief re-release in 2012! It's pretty rare now unfortunately, but if you're willing to fork out $100-$200, there's a few on eBay right now. Get them while you have the chance! Sometimes they take a while to show up online. You won't want to miss this great addition to your Cars collection!

Front and back packaging:

Open it up to store as many cars as you can fit in the two levels!

Toy Story: Snowglobe

Here is the spectacular Toy Story Andy's Toy Box Snowglobe! It's from 2010 and came out exclusive to the Disney Store right around when Toy Story 3 came out. It winds up and plays the classic "You've Got a Friend In Me" as Buzz "flys" around the globe. It's such a great collector's piece and I'm thrilled to have it in my collection! Check out my Vine to see the video!

The Incredibles: 2004 Disney Store Figurine Set

Here is my Disney Store Exclusive The Incredibles figurine set from 2004! It's a great little gift-pack if you're looking to snag all the main characters all together. It's kind of rare but you can also find it once in a while on eBay for a great price.

This set includes nine PVC figures that stand about 2"-3" tall: Mr. Incredible, Frozone, Edna Mode, Mrs. Incredible, Jack Jack, Syndrome, Violet, Prologue Mr. Incredible and Dash.

And, like the Ratatouille toys, I didn't get many when The Incredibles came out. Here are some cool figures I don't have but would love to get (images from Google and are not my own):

First, the Disney Store released an awesome set of action figures when the film came out.

Love how Violet comes with an invisible version of herself!

Next is Hasbro's collection of The Incredibles action figures and vehicles. Which collection do you prefer? Disney Store or Hasbro? Love the Incredobile!

 Ha! Love this one...

Here on the back of Syndrome's package, you can see the full collection:

Hasbro also released three figure packs similar to the Disney Store one I have. One of them (seen below) features awesome set of villains! It's super rare though..it's hard to even find a picture of!

And there is a third pack in this figure pack collection with the main heroes in their "civilian" clothes. I've seen it many times before but I couldn't find a picture this time!

Anyone else have some cool The Incredibles toys or collectibles? Let me know in the comments.

Toy Story 3: "The Monkey" (Vintage Musical Jolly Chimp)

Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to get the vintage "Musical Jolly Chimp" that inspired the monkey from Toy Story 3! This past week I was in New Hampshire for a family vacation and yesterday, I drove with some of my siblings to a local Salvation Army to get old clothes for a "murder mystery" party we were having. As I was looking around, I saw it. I saw the iconic Toy Story 3 monkey from across the entire store on a shelf. I speedily headed over to check it out and low and behold... it was what I thought it was!

Now the only potential problem was the price. How much was this guy? It had the original box and everything. It had to expensive. Well, turns out it was only $14! This typically sells between $100-$200, so this was a real steal. What a cool visit to a thrift shop! Finds like this don't happen every day and I definitely wasn't even expecting it or ever looking for it (or any collectibles there). So now when you go into thrift shops, keep a look out! You just might see something real cool.

This chimp is in full working condition...it's hilarious! Be sure to check out my Vine account to see this guy in action (complete with symbol banging action, creepy moving eyes and sounds).

Partysaurus Rex: Tubtime Buddies & Partysaurus Boat Playset

Check out this cool set of toys (which is actually the only set of toys) from Partysaurus Rex! This sub-series of the Toy Story Buddy Pack collection is called "Tubtime Buddies" and features buddy pack figures that change color in water. This collection includes five characters from the popular Toy Story Toon including: Partysaurus Rex himself (this one is an exclusive to the boat playset), Captain Suds, Cuddles, Drips, and Chuck (who is also an exclusive to the boat playset). Other characters you already probably have (non-specific to Partysaurus Rex), such as Buzz and Woody, are included here as well.

Note: Another version of the Partysaurus Rex figure is out there too. He comes in a 2-Pack with Shark from the first Toy Story. I'll need to track that one down too since that version of Rex has the beaded necklace and peace sign! Can't believe I missed him.

Partysaurus Boat Playset

The "Partysaurus Boat" playset lights up and has a dunk feature to dunk the characters in water from the top deck (resulting in them changing color when icy water is used; warm water changes them back). Really neat stuff! It's really the perfect toy for any young Toy Story fan's bath time. And as mentioned, there are two exclusive figures included so you can't go wrong here.

These were released in late 2012 but are still pretty easy to find at stores (Toys R Us and Target). Definitely pick these up if you're a fan of Toy Story and/or Partysaurus Rex like me! It's kind of rare to get products from Pixar's short films so get it while you have the chance.

UPDATE- 8/29/17:

After all these years, I finally took these guys out of their packages (mainly for a picture I was taking for Instagram). So here they are loose and ready to party!
