Up: Funko POP! (Carl and Russell)

Here's the brand new set of Pixar Funko Pop vinyls, Carl and Russell from Up! When I saw these were being released, I was super excited since there really isn't a lot of Up merch out there compared to Pixar's other films.

These are a great addition to the Pop vinyl line. They are full of fun little movie accurate details (such as Carl's "Ellie Badge," his hearing aid and Russell's scout badges) and I'm really exited to finally have these great characters represented in my collection. 

 

The Incredibles: PEZ Collection

Here is my complete set of The Incredibles PEZ! The characters included are: Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Dash and Jack-Jack. Also out there are VERY RARE "unmasked" versions of these that were only available in Europe, but those sell for $80 through well over $100. As tempting as it is to fork out for those (as a self-proclaimed "completist"), I'll honestly just stick with these ones.

Monsters University: Vinylmation

This weekend I got to go to the Disney Store in Salt Lake City, UT to get my first two Monsters University Vinylmations! My wife and I both picked a blind box and went right outside to open them. Not even thinking about/expecting it, I got the Terry & Terri chaser! I was super excited as I've never picked a chaser before or have never gotten one online because of the high prices. Anyway, I opened the next one and it was another great character to start off with...Sulley! It was a good day for a Pixar Vinylmation fan.

UPDATE 8/28/13-

Since my initial post, I've had a chance to get two more! George Sanderson here was ordered by my mom from the Disney Store as a surprise waiting for me when I got home to visit this past month. So great!

 

 Then I got to go to the actual Disney Store with one of my Nephews, Taylor, and one of my nieces, Melia. This time I pulled Art! Exactly who I wanted. Four down eight to go as of now.

Got Johnny Worthington in the mail yesterday! Five down seven more to go!

Got Carrie Williams today! No repeats which is amazing...half way done with the collection with six down and six to go!

Ratatouille: PEZ Collection

Here is the complete Ratatouille inspired PEZ collection from 2007. The characters included are Remy, Chef Skinner, Emile and Linguini.

Pixar Collection: The Wisdom of Pixar Book

As I looked around Amazon to see what cool Pixar books are out there that I don't have, I came across this one- "The Wisdom of Pixar" by Robert Velarde. The description reads:

This stood out to me as I enjoy looking deeper into the lessons and values of some of my favorite films. I love the messages in each Pixar movie and I look forward to getting a new perspective on the virtues found in each one (from Toy Story through Up with references to Toy Story 3). Thanks to my mom who sent this as a surprise! 

Cars & Cars 2: New Deluxe

This is the latest assortment of Mattel Cars from the over sized "Deluxe" line! It's made up of re- releases and all new cars. This wave includes: Francesco Fan Mater (New and also a CHASE), Ivan Mater (New), Elvis RV (Re-release), Dustin Mellows (Re-release) and Materhosen Mater (New).

Cars: PEZ Collection

Here is the complete collection of the original Cars series of PEZ! This set includes Sally, Lightning Mcqueen, Mater and Doc Hudson.

Cars: "Art of" and Diecast "Character Encyclopedia" Books

 Here are a couple great Cars books that are perfect for fan of the movie and those who collect! The first is "The Art of Cars" which is fantastic...all of those "Art Of" books are worth getting. I'm slowly trying to get them from each movie. 

The second  is a fun book...it's the "Cars Character Encyclopedia" for Mattel Cars diecasts! It's super fun as each page is loaded with most of the releases from over the past six years including many of  the characters (and variations) and details/fun facts about each one. It also comes with an exclusive  metallic Lightning Mcqueen and a poster. Works as a great guide & checklist to collecting!

Pixar Collection: Pixar Animation Studios Shirt

This is a very cool, very simple shirt that I got from California Adventure...I love it! I got mine at the Toy Story Mania gift shop,  so if you're there, check it out! 

Cars: Fancy New Road 3 Pack (Featuring Doc Hudson, Mater and Green Ramone)

Here is the Toys R Us exclusive "Fancy New Road" 3-pack with Doc Hudson, Mater and green Ramone! It's part of the Radiator Springs classic collection and is possibly still out but, very hard to come by. I found mine at Toys R Us about two months ago. The reason this set is so rare is because it's one of the first times a normal Radiator Springs Doc Hudson (non lenticular eyes and not the "Hudson Hornet" crew chief) has been released since the original collection in 2006. 

The original single Doc Hudson (in it's package) from 2006 sold for up to $100 on eBay before this re-release which is crazy. I was happy when I found this set because Doc was the last main character I needed from Radiator Springs but was not affordable for me until now. It just so happens that I needed green Ramone and a "non Cars 2" Mater too, so it worked out great!

 This is a great book for any Pixar fan! Each page is filled with information and details about all your favorite characters from each movie from Toy Story through Brave.

Cars: "The Three-Way Tie" 10-Car Gift Pack

Here we have a Cars 10-pack called "Three-Way Tie." It's a Toys R Us exclusive, is part of the Radiator Springs Classic collection and includes: Finish Line McQueen (never released as a single—just in multipacks), Chick Hicks, The King, Mia, Tia, Darrell Cartrip, Bob Cutlass, Marlon Clutches McKay, Race official Tom and Race tow truck Tom.

This is the perfect addition to the Piston Cup 500 race track I showed yesterday! It's a really great set, especially for me since I got this as I was beginning my Cars collection. It was a good starter pack to get these characters and help me play a little catch up.
