Pixar 25th Anniversary STANCE Socks Collection
Released in 2020, in celebration of "Pixar's 25th anniversary" (even though what they technically meant was 25 years of Pixar theatrical films; 1995-2020 beginning with Toy Story of course), here we have this awesome collection of high quality socks from the ever popular company STANCE. There were seven pairs of socks released in this "25th" assortment, all seen below, featuring designs from: Toy Story (green army men), A Bug's Life (Heimlich), Monsters, Inc. (Boo & Sulley), Finding Nemo (Bruce, Marlin & Dory), Wall·E, Up (the Up house) and—last but not least—Luxo Jr. (Pixar logo, the Pixar lamp & the Pixar ball). The Luxo lamp design was an exclusive to a couple boxed sets (like this one I have here as well as one other), but all the other socks were released either in boxed sets or individually.
Such fantastic designs, right?! I'm not usually a sock guy, but when I received these as a gift one Christmas a couple years back, I was actually pretty pumped. It was a really cool and unexpected surprise. All in all, I can't recommend these enough if you're able to track them down these days. I think any big Pixar fan could appreciate them.
Let me know what you think down below! Did you pick up any pairs from this collection? What's your favorite of the designs? Looking forward to reading your thoughts.Monday, February 13, 2023

Wall·E Inspired Ceramic Boot— Faux Succulent Planter (BoxLunch Exclusive)
Wall·E fans— you ready for an awesome collector's piece? Check out this planter featuring a faux succulent and modeled after the iconic boot from the film; a BoxLunch Gifts exclusive! This was such a clever idea and I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to get it to help round out my home office Wall·E shelf. It fits perfect there and looks as good as I hoped it would.
Sure, do I wish the plant was actually modeled after the one seen in the film? Yah of course. But regardless, you get the idea here and it totally works. You can see this product and know right away what it is; most people will still go "hey, the boot from Wall·E!", especially since the boot itself is stylized just as it should be and there's at least some kind of green plant coming out of it.
The boot is ceramic and the entire product measures 4 3/4" long x 6" tall (that's including the plant) x 2.5" wide. It's the perfect small size for a desk or shelf. Retail price is $19.90. I was excited to have found it in-store when visiting a BoxLunch in Maryland last week!
Check it out unboxed below.
This is still in stock on the BoxLunch website, so be sure to snag it while you can! You can purchase it RIGHT HERE. I'd love to hear what you think down below! Have you picked one up for your collection?

PIXAR Figural Bag Clip Mystery Pack Collection (from Monogram Collectibles)
In case you didn't know, Monogram Collectibles makes the cutest (and only?) pop culture 3D foam figural keyrings and bag clips out there, so you can imagine my excitement when they revealed their brand new PIXAR series of bag clips celebrating 25 years of incredible films! This is Series 29 of their Disney blind bag assortments and I could not be more thrilled to share each character with you today in more detail. A HUGE thank you to Monogram for sending this case my way to unbox and review!
This series includes a fun mix of characters from several Pixar classics, as well as their latest film Onward (which just hit theaters yesterday)! There's some great variety going on here and the designs are as well done as ever.
Per usual with these series, there are 11 characters total (nine standard and two mystery "exclusives"): Aliens dressed up as Buzz & Woody (inspired by Toy Story), Heimlich (A Bug's Life; Exclusive A), Sulley (Monsters Inc.), Squirt (Finding Nemo; Exclusive B), Chef Remy (Ratatouille), Wall·E & Eve (Wall·E), Carl Fredricksen (Up) and Ian & Barley Lightfoot (Onward).
There's usually only one each per case of the "exclusives", so they're much harder to find. For the standard/common characters, there's typically two full sets per case. Retail price for each bag is $7.90.
Take a closer look at each bag clip below! Each adorable figure is about 2.5" tall.
Interestingly enough, Monogram has already previously released Sulley, Squirt, Carl, Heimlich, and Wall·E & Eve in other series—however, these are brand new versions/renditions of the characters! It's pretty cool to see a new take on them in Monogram's signature style. For example, Sulley is now roaring, Carl is now holding balloons instead of his cane, Heimlich now holds a leaf, Eve holds a light bulb and Wall·E now holds the boot plant.
I can highly recommended these to any Disney·Pixar fan who wants to deck out their keychains, backpacks or luggage with their favorite characters! If you're looking to add any of these to your Pixar collection, you can find this series for sale at your local Hot Topic or Cinemark movie theater.
Let me know your favorites down below! For me, it has to be the two exclusives—I think Squirt and Heimlich are the cutest! It's awesome having a couple Onward characters as well. What are your thoughts? Who do you hope to pick up?
Thank you again to Monogram Collectibles! If you like what you see, be sure to follow them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for all their latest reveals and updates.

Mattel Pixar Collection—7" Scale Posable Action Figures!
Following the success of last year's 7" scale Toy Story 4 action figure collection, Mattel has just released an incredible new range of posable figures based on characters from classic Pixar films under their new "PIXAR" banner! These are in the same make, size, style and quality (and feature the same open-blister packaging) as the Toy Story 4 figures from last year that I love so much, so it's amazing to see the line continue here beyond the Toy Story films. This range extends to Onward as well and also to Soul in the upcoming months! You can read all about Mattel's new Global Licensing Agreement with Disney for Pixar Animation Studios announced last year HERE.
I was so thrilled to find these on shelves at Walmart early last month. They totally took my surprise as I had no idea they were coming! Usually I know to look out for upcoming releases like this, but somehow these figures stayed under the radar until I stumbled upon them (seemingly early before anyone else). So far the assortment includes Mike Wazowski with Boo, Sulley, Wall·E with Eve and Mr. Incredible! It was so nostalgic for me to see these characters in-store again after so many years. I haven't seen Monsters Inc. toys at the store (not counting Disney Stores/Parks) since 2001/2002!
Take a closer look at each figure below! Sulley is the biggest at 8" tall (wait till you see him in person), Mr. Incredible is about 7.5" tall, Wall·E & Eve are about 4" tall (I really like how Eve includes a stand) and Mike & Boo are about 4" tall as well. Retail price for each figure is only $9.84—which is fantastic considering the size and quality of them!
The Mattel team did an absolutely incredible job with these figures; I cannot say enough good things about them. They look SO good and strike that perfect balance of being appealing to both kids and adult collectors. They're great for play or display!
You can find this collection right now at your nearest Walmart. Hurry while they're still around! I believe there will be more characters introduced later this year, so be sure to follow me on all my social channels to stay updated. Who's your favorite? What other Pixar characters would you like to see made?? Shout out your thoughts down below and any questions you might have.
Happy collecting!
UPDATE: Mr. Incredible has now also been released in a The Incredibles 2-Pack with an exclusive Syndrome and Mike, Sulley & Boo have been released in a Monsters Inc. 4-Pack with exclusive Randall!
UPDATE 2: Check out my review of Wave 2 HERE featuring Elastigirl & Jack-Jack, Miguel & Dante, Merida and Dash with Monster & Goo Jack-Jack.

Wall·E: Eve Funko "POP!" Review (2019 BoxLunch Earth Day Exclusive)
Directive? I couldn't let Earth Month go by without reviewing the brand new BoxLunch Gifts Earth Day Exclusive Eve Funko POP! I cut it close given that it's the last day of April, but I made it. Now let's get into some of my overall thoughts and take a closer out-of-the-box look at this fantastic vinyl figure.
When I first saw that this Eve was being released, I couldn't be more thrilled as I knew it would pair perfectly with last year's Earth Day Exclusive Wall·E! This is a brilliantly updated version of the character with a much cleaner look compared to the original Eve Funko POP! figure (which was one of my very first posts here back in 2013). I love the addition of Eve holding the boot plant (as I did with Wall·E), but my favorite aspect of this new version is the clear stand that gives Eve a floating effect! Flawlessly executed.
Once again, this release is also extra cool because the vinyl figure itself is actually made from (in observance of Earth Day) 20% recycled material, while the box is 80% recycled material for conscious collecting! The blister/window box is PET material and is 100% recyclable. How cool right? I love the overall earthy look of the packaging—I usually open my "POP!" figures and toss the boxes (I know, some of you may say blasphemy to that), but I think I might have to keep this one.
This Eve was released on April 18th in-store and online and is number 552 in the massive Disney/Pixar Funko "POP!" line. She is about 4" tall and retails for $12.90.
Take a closer look at this cutie out of the box below!
Last year, the Earth Day Wall·E figure sold out VERY quickly and collectors who missed out were clamoring for it to be stocked again. This Eve release, however, has not been quite as popular. It's a shame since it's so cool! The good news for you though (if you haven't ordered one yet) is that she's still in stock on the BoxLunch site HERE. I can't recommend it enough!
What are your thoughts on this new release? Did you pick one of these up for your Disney Funko collection? Shout it out down below!

Wall·E Mousepad (from Zazzle)
Hi everyone! Just when I think I'll have the time to get back to my regular blog posts here, life just gets busier and busier. Sorry I haven't been able to get one up since almost a month ago, but I'm thrilled that I found some time tonight to review one of the items I got for Christmas a few weeks back. Check out this Wall·E inspired mousepad from Zazzle!
I was really in need of a new mousepad (they say these things are dust and stain resistent, but definitely not). The Monsters University one (seen HERE) I got back in the summer of 2017 was getting old and scuffed and I wanted my whole computer desk area to start off the new year clean and fresh. This one was the perfect choice for me! There are so many options out there for Pixar themed mousepads, but I wanted something that made sense themeing wise. Wall·E was the obvious choice this time around, not only because computers in general play a big part in the movie, but also since much of the film does have that clean/minimal Apple computer inspired look and feel to it (even the real life Apple startup sound is used for when Wall·E gets recharged ). It just felt right.
The next step was narrowing down all the cute 30+ Wall·E mousepad designs on Zazzle down to one. This one stood out because the art style is right up my alley and I just liked the simplicity of it. So cute! And yes, the "08" seems to be a direct reference to the year Wall·E was released in theaters.
All the mousepads are a standard size of 9.25" L x 7.75" W and retail for $12.25. You can grab this one on Zazzle's site HERE if you're interested in this for your computer desk. You can order it as is, OR completely customize it in terms of color, image placement, text, size, etc.
Let me know your thoughts down below and I hope to see you again real soon for another blog post! Stay tuned.

Wall·E: 10th Anniversary Mini ''Tsum Tsum'' Set Review
Ready to put on your Sunday clothes? I'm so excited to share with you my detailed look at this amazing Wall·E Tsum Tsum 4-Pack, released just last month in celebration of the film's 10th anniversary! And here's the best part: Not only do we get four brand new Tsums here (Wall·E, Eve, M-O and the Cockroach friend), but they come in a soft "BnL" lunch cooler carry case WHICH PLAYS MUSIC. I can't even.
Feel for the button on the upper right hand side of the cooler and give it a squeeze to hear a cute little 20 second instrumental version of Put on Your Sunday Clothes (which of course was plucked right out of the classic musical Hello, Dolly!). It's super cute! The fabric of the carry case is also a fun shiny material, features velcro fasteners in the front and measures about 6" tall x 5 1/2" wide.
A very small detail I appreciate is the little Wall·E 10th Anniversary icon there on the tag. It's not a big deal, I just find it cool to see the anniversary acknowledged there. It makes this an actual commemorative item, which us collectors like.
Here they are peeking out! Let's take a closer look...
Such a cute selection! I will admit that including the cockroach here with this set was a bit random (most people will have no clue who that is from just looking at him, even in the context of Wall·E), but I'm use to it at this point. I do have to wonder though, why him over another one of the robots (BURN-E?), or John or the captain? Oh well, totally no biggie. I love the inclusion of M-O...he's one of my faves! How could you not love that hilarious little cleaner robot?
As far as Wall·E and Eve, they are different than the ones released last year in the "Best of Pixar" Tsum Tsum series. Here they both have squinty smiling expressions and Wall·E has the garbage can lid that he puts on in the film when dancing with Eve inside his bunker.
Also, a reminder that these are all part of the standard size (3 1/2'' L) Tsum Tsum "mini" collection, not micro.
If the batteries inside the case ever run out on you, just know that it requires three AG13 button cell batteries (included). I believe they're, or at least they should be, replaceable. Retail for this set is $24.95.
This WAS available on the ShopDisney site HERE and at select locations at the Disney Parks, but it sold out real quick. Even on the ShopDisneyParks app, it's saying sold out. Sorry I wasn't able to post this in time while it was still in stock! The good news is there are plenty being sold on eBay right now and the prices aren't bad at all (right around $35). Visit THIS DIRECT LINK TO CURRENT LISTINGS
Last but certainly not least, check out my brief video below to hear this thing in action! I guarantee the ditty will get stuck in your head if it hasn't already. ;) Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!
