Finding Dory: Big Golden Book

finding dory big golden book

With each new Disney·Pixar film release, there are always a few corresponding books that I consider staples in my collection. They are the automatic "must haves." For example, I consistently look forward to the Essential Guide books, Art of books, Little Golden Books, Ultimate Sticker books and Big Golden Books. With that said, what do you know...here we have the Finding Dory Big Golden Book from Randomhouse Publishing! This was released back in early May.

This book is 39 pages in length and is wonderfully adapted by author Bill Scollon. As usual with a lot of the Disney books these days, there is no specific illustrator credited; instead it just gives credit to the entire Disney Storybook Art Team. Nonetheless, the art style is fantastic... bright and universally appealing (basically what we're use to seeing in these Big Golden Books).

Compared to the other Finding Dory books I have, this is a more complete retelling of the film's story. Though it's still simplified and many parts have been cut out, this book covers significantly more than, say, the Little Golden Book. You will notice, however, that some side characters don't even make an appearance, such as the sea lions and Mr. Ray (although he does appear on the front cover).

Lets take a peek inside so you can have a feel for what to expect! Spoiler warning for those who haven't seen the film yet.
