Cars 3: Little Golden Book
Many of you who have followed along with me and my collection over the years probably know that I'm a HUGE fan of the Pixar Little Golden Books (admittedly, mostly because of the art). The illustrations are always done in such a tasteful and timeless style and this Cars 3 Little Golden Book (released on May 2nd) follows that same trend.
The first Little Golden Books were published back in 1942, so needless to say, this collection has really stood the test of time. It's still going strong! I love how even the modern Little Golden Books (like this one here) tap into the nostalgia of their old time publications and are still created in a similar, [now considered] "retro", fashion.
This Cars 3 Little Golden Book is illustrated by Vivien Wu, adapted by Victoria Saxon and designed by Tony Fejeran, who all did a really fantastic job. The story is told in a simple way with few words, yet all the main points from the film are there and are presented in a way that's easy for young readers to follow (not an easy thing to accomplish).
To give you a flavor of what to expect, here's a peek inside! The book is 23 pages long.
You can usually find this wherever Cars 3 books are sold (Barnes & Noble for one) or visit Amazon using the direct link below. Retail is typically right around $4.99. I can easily recommend this to any young (or young at heart) fan of the Cars franchise!
