Finding Dory: Little Golden Book

finding dory little golden book

Little Golden Books, like with so many people, are a classic part of my childhood; so naturally when Pixar themed Little Golden books (based on the feature length and short films- as well as some original stories) began to be released back in 2006, I jumped right on the chance to collect them all.

I just love the overall classy, minimal illustrations and the retro feel to the designs found inside Little Golden Books. When Finding Dory merchandise began to hit stores a couple months ago, this book (released on May 3rd) was one of the very first things on my list to get. I was really looking forward to this one.

Like usual, this is a a very simplified version of the story geared towards young children. It's very cute and nicely written, though you'll notice some very key scenes from the film's ending are missing. It's adapted by Amy Novesky, designed by Tony Fejeran and is beautifully illustrated by Satoshi Hashimoto. The book is 23 pages in length.

To get a feel for what you can expect inside, take a look at some of the vibrant pages below!

For those who enjoyed Finding Dory, I highly recommend this book. It's no doubt a-dory-ble and very tastefully done! You can pick it up in stores (such as at Barnes and Noble) or on Amazon using the direct link below.

It should be noted that you can find a Little Golden Book for every Pixar film except The Incredibles (though there is one based on the Jack Jack Attack short), and A Bug's Life. If you're interested in seeing all the others, be sure to click on my "Books" label to the right of this page to explore my entire Pixar books collection. Please let me know if you have any comments or questions... I would love to hear your thoughts!
