Finding Dory: Disney Store Sea Otter Plush

After watching Finding Dory, I think a lot of us wanted to take home our own baby sea otters to have "cuddle parties" with. My wife and I can't be the only ones right? Well thanks to the Disney Store, you can! This adorable plush was released back in April and is as soft as can be.

This otter stands at 10" tall (a great size for cuddling), has an fantastically cute sculpt (with nicely stitched embroidered features including the standard "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch on the back), and soft, shiny fur. Kids, and maybe some of you adults out there, won't be able to resist hugging this one. Retail is $14.95.

Finding Nemo: Disney Parks "Mr. Grumpy Gills" Men's Tee

"Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills..." says Dory speaking to Marlin in one of my favorite quotes from Finding Nemo. The way Ellen delivered that line, as well as Dory's brilliant facial expression concocted by the animators, is just so hilarious to me. It gets me every time! I find myself quoting it pretty often too. With that said, as soon as I saw this shirt during our Disney World trip this past Spring, it immediately went on my "must have" list!

This tee is softer and more fitted than most Disney Parks shirts, so that is a big plus right there. The graphic, design and overall look is fantastic as well.

I ended up purchasing this at Mouse Gears in Epcot, but I also saw it at the SeaBase gift shop (over by The Seas with Nemo and Friends) and in Animal Kingdom at the Island Mercantile shop. I'm not sure if it's anywhere at Disney Springs or Disneyland, but it's possible! If you're not heading to the parks any time soon, don't forget that you can always use the Shop Disney Parks app.

Whether you're a grumpy person or not, this t-shirt is perfect for any of you adult Finding Nemo fans out there. I definitely recommend picking it up if you have the chance! 

Toy Story 3: Peas-in-a-Pod Holiday Plush (11")

Just in time for the holidays, here we have the Disney Store's new exclusive seasonal Toy Story 3 Peas-in-a-Pod plush— as part of their "Share the Magic" collection! Peatey, Peatrice and Peanelope (yes, they actually each have an official name) are looking as cute and as festive here as ever before.

I absolutely love the peas in the film. Though they're really only in it for a few moments (and I believe with only one line), their adorableness made a big impression. Whenever they get represented with a new product, it's nearly impossible for me to resist. I thought this would be cute to display seasonally in our kids' room someday! You know I'll be busting this set out every Christmas, so they better like it ;)

This set is a little bit bigger than the regular Disney Store 8" Peas-in-a-Pod plush set. In fact, it's a much more movie accurate size. I would love if they redid the original plush in this size, but that's just wishful thinking.

The pea pod in this set is 11" long and the pea characters themselves are about 2.5" in size. Everything is very soft and nicely stitched with embroidered features. I love all the fabrics/materials used here, especially the festive plaid lining on the inside. Does that not make you think of the coziness of Christmas?

Of course the pod can be fully zipped and unzipped and each individual pea can be removed. Look at those cute elf hats!

Be sure to get into the holiday spirit by picking this set up at your local Disney Store! You can't go wrong here. If you love Christmastime AND Toy Story like I do, then this is a given. Toy Story: Men's "SQUAD" Graphic Tee

From Fifth Sun, now sold exclusively at Target stores, here we have this pretty awesome Toy Story "SQUAD" men's tee! This is a very soft, nicely fitted heather navy blue t-shirt featuring some of your favorite toy pals in a distressed style graphic — Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bullseye! 

I stumbled upon this recently at Target while casually browsing the men's graphic tee section and couldn't resist it. Retail price is extremely reasonable at only $12.99.

For all you Toy Story fans out there, definitely be sure to pick this up before it's gone! I can highly recommend it as an overall great tee.

Finding Dory: Disney Store Mr. Ray Plush

Continuing this week's look at the Finding Dory plush collection from the Disney Store (released this past April), here we have Mr. Ray...Nemo's school teacher in the film and a returning favorite from Finding Nemo! Classic.

Mr. Ray here is, once again, super soft with embroidered features (including the standard "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch), has a very nice likeness to the character and measures about 24" long x 21" wide.

I can highly recommend this plush to any fan of the Finding Nemo/Dory franchise! You can most likely still find him at your local Disney Store (I know there's a bunch at mine) or, if you don't have one near you, be sure to purchase yours online right HERE. Retail is $19.95.

Finding Dory: Disney Store Crush Plush

Dudes! If you've been following along with me over the past few days, you'll know that this week I'm finally getting to posting my Finding Dory plush collection from the Disney Store (released back in April). So far I've taken a detailed look at Nemo, Bailey, baby Dory, Marlin and the sea lion trio—so be sure to check out those posts if you haven't already. Today we have Crush the sea turtle; a returning favorite character from Finding Nemo!

Crush here is, once again, super soft with embroidered features (including the standard "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch under is back right fin), has a very nice likeness to the character and measures about 19" long x 17" wide (fin to fin).

This plush is totally righteous. Highly recommended to any fan of the Finding Nemo/Dory franchise! You can find him still at your local Disney Store or online right HERE if you're looking to add this one to your Disney·Pixar collection. Retail is $19.95.

Finding Dory: Disney Store Marlin Plush

Continuing with the Disney Store's collection of Finding Dory plush (released back in April), here we have Marlin; everyone's favorite oh-so-worried clownfish! So far I've taken a detailed look at Nemo, Bailey, baby Dory and the sea lion trio—so be sure to check out those posts if you haven't already.

Marlin here is, once again, super soft with embroidered features (including the standard "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch on his side), has a very nice likeness to the character and measures about 12" long x 8" tall. As you may be able to tell somewhat from my photos, what's extra cool about this one is that his top, back and side fins are all made from a shimmery material which looks really neat in certain lighting/angles. His white stripes also have a shine to them.

Though this plush has since sold out online, you may be able to still find him at your local Disney Store (I know mine still has a bunch). I've also included a direct link to a current Amazon listing below. Original retail was $19.95.

Highly recommended for any fans, young or old, of the Finding Nemo/Dory franchise!

Finding Dory: Disney Store Bailey Plush

As mentioned in my recent Nemo mini bean bag plush post, this week I'll be showing off each of the Disney Store exclusive Finding Dory plush released back in April! Today we're taking a look at Bailey, the hilarious beluga whale and one of my favorite characters from the film. "OoOOOOOOOOOOooooOOO....(that's the sound of Bailey channeling his echo location ;)...my beautiful gift!"

This plush is soft, has quality embroidered features and, as usual, has a great likeness to the actual character. The "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch on the side of his tail ensures you that this is the real deal. He is classified as a medium size plush, measuring right around 18" long.

You should still be able to find Bailey at your local Disney Store location (we still have a ton of him at ours) if you're interested in picking this up. If your store sold out, or if you don't have a Disney Store near you, you can always pick him up on the website while supplies lasts HERE (for $19.95).

Monsters University: Disney Store Oozma Kappa Plush

Traditionally at the Disney Store, with each new animated film release (be it Disney or Pixar) comes a series of plush toys; and with so many colorful, unique characters in 2013's Monsters University, you just knew there would be a lot of them...and there was.

In late April 2013, just two months before the theatrical release of MU, these plush hit the Disney Store shelves along with the rest of the first round of merch based on the film (seen in my post HERE). Though there were many other plush released, today we're just taking a look at the Oozma Kappa medium sized plush including Art, Don Carlton, Squishy and Terry and Terri (which all retailed for $19.95). A look at many more is to come...so stay tuned!

 These are some of my absolute favorite Disney Store Pixar plush of all time. The characters and their designs lend themselves perfectly to plush toys in general and the Disney Store really delivered on the likenesses and overall quality of each one. The stitching is great and the materials used are all pretty fantastic. I especially love Art's soft, vibrant purple fur and flexible legs.

Let's take a detailed look at each one—

Art (about 12" tall and 26" wide when completely spread put)

 Don Carlton (about 10" tall)

 Squishy (about 10" tall)

 Terry & Terri (about 16" tall)

As usual, each plush has the "Disney Store Genuine Original Authentic" patch. Even though these haven't been available in stores for years now, you can still find them pretty easily on eBay for decent prices. Finding Dory: Disney Store Lithograph Set (Blu-Ray/DVD Pre-Order)

For quite some time now, dating back 20 years+, The Disney Store has given out free lithograph print sets upon pre-ordering select movie titles. That tradition remains alive today and it was no different with this fall's Finding Dory home video release! If you have a Disney Store near you, it's not too late to reserve your copy of the DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack (which will be released on November 15th) and receive this free set of four fantastic prints. If you don't have a Disney Store close by, no worries— you can also pre-order online HERE. 

The prints come in a very cool, sturdy folder showcasing some of your favorite characters on the front (which is basically just a variation of the film's theatrical poster) and Hank and Dory on the back.

Lets open it up! Love the coral reef backdrop on the inside.

Each print is 10x14 in size, is printed on a nice heavy cardstock and features a high quality still from the film. Also, as usual with the Disney Store lithos, a special gold foil Disney seal is stamped in the corner for authenticity. Check them all out below:

When you reserve your copy in the store, you'll get a little folder that holds your receipt/voucher. Just hold onto that, show up with it on the day of release (to any Disney Store) and it's yours! Also on the back of the folder is a coupon for $10 off $40 or more valid 11/15/16-11/27/16, so don't miss that (that coupon also comes to you when you pre-order online). It might come in handy for some Christmas shopping!

If you're going to purchase the film, this is the way to do it. Why not get some free prints while you're at it, right? Be sure to do it soon though if you haven't already...you'll need to order by the 14th to be eligible for the lithographs. Only 10 days left—can't wait!

Finding Dory: Disney Store Nemo Mini Bean Bag Plush

Back in April of this year, the Disney Store launched their collection of Finding Dory plush toys featuring some of your favorite characters from the film. I've been really into collecting plush from each new Pixar film lately, so I was really looking forward to these. This week I'll be showing off each one (which I got back in May for my birthday...yah these have been a long time coming) starting today with the mini bean bag plush Nemo!

Note- I already posted/reviewed some of the plush over the last few months (such as the trio of sea lions and baby Dory), so be sure to check out those if you missed my write-ups.

This is a pretty basic plush, so there's nothing too much to report. He's super adorable, has a nice likeness to the character (of course they didn't miss the "lucky fin" detail), is pretty soft and measures about seven inches long. He's also covered with subtle sparkles, which I thought was a cute touch. Overall, like most Disney Store plush, this one feels nicely stitched and quality made.

You can find this currently at your local Disney Store or online HERE for $9.95. I should also note that, if you're looking for one that's a bit bigger, there's also a medium size 15" non-bean bag version of Nemo as well (seen HERE for $19.95).

Every little Nemo fan needs a plush version of their favorite clownfish. Be sure to pick yours up soon before this version is gone!

Finding Nemo: The Essential Guide (2nd Edition)

Clear back in March this year, in preparation for the release of Finding Dory, DK released an updated "2nd Edition" version of their 2003 Finding Nemo: The Essential Guide book! This new version is soft cover and includes over 60 stickers at the end. Other than that, the differences between this one and the original pretty much stop right there.

I honestly thought that there was going to be new, updated/expanded material in this (connecting it to Finding Dory), but it's my fault for not comparing this one and the 2003 version before buying. I've had this book for months, but I only just got around to a side by side comparison before sitting down to write this post. To my surprise, it's word for word, photo for photo and page for page the same as the original (with only slight tweaks to the fonts, colors and layouts). As mentioned, the soft cover and the stickers in the back are really all that are new here.

If you never picked this one up back in the day, then this new release is a great opportunity to grab it for your collection! It's definitely a cool way to introduce (or reintroduce) your little ones to the characters of Finding Nemo. The material is still as great as ever, with loads of fun info about characters (i.e. traits, thoughts, backstory), plot points, "fun facts", quotes, stats and much more. Even if you do have the original, you might just want a new fresh version that's not 13 years old. Either way!
