Finding Dory: "Water Slide" Slippery Toss Toy

You gotta love these things. As a child of the 90's, I have to say, I had plenty of these growing up. It wasn't summer/pool season without at least one floating around; so when I saw this new Finding Dory version at Walmart recently, I caved and bought it (purely because of the novelty and nostalgia). I thought some of you all might be interested as well!

What do you even call these things? This packaging calls it a "water slide", but I've never called it that. I've seen them called "water snakes" and "water wigglies", but I usually just say "the little rubber slippery toy you toss in the pool that's impossible to hold onto." People usually know what I'm talking about.

As usual with these "water slides", this is a rubber tube (about 4.5" long) filled with water, little floating plastic fish and glitter- and I'm sure it will turn out to be just as slippery as the rest! I'll have to initiate a catching competition this summer. If you've never seen or played with one of these, you're totally missing out.

Like with a lot of these early products out there, there isn't anything very Finding Dory ish about this toy except that it has the logo on it and that the new octopus character Hank on the package (which gets thrown away). Either way, this should be a fun little pool toy in the coming months. Retail is just $3.87.

I can't wait for the film! Just over two months away...
