Before I get into the write-up, I just wanted to apologize for the delay today and for the lack of post yesterday. My computer is almost ten years old at this point and overheats/shuts down over and over daily. Last night it happened more times than I can count while I was trying to write my post and edit my photos, so eventually I had to give up around 2 a.m. I think it's finally time for a new computer! Lets see if I can make it through this one tonight...
If you've been to Disney's California Adventure or Hollywood Studios, you've probably been on Toy Story Mania (one of my personal favorite rides); and how can one forget waiting in line and coming across a giant wisecracking animatronic "Boardwalk Barker" version of Mr. Potato Head? Well back in 2008, you could actually buy a plush toy based on that appearance sold there exclusively at the Disney Parks!
For fans of the ride or of Toy Story in general, this might be one you'll want to track down. It's definitely a more unique, lesser known item at this point. I was able to pick it up on eBay this past week for about $10.
Boardwalk Barker Mr. Potato Head- Disney's California Adventure |
This plush is about 8" tall and 5.5" wide (15" wide if you include the arms). Interestingly, on the back you can un-velcro his "compartment", but there's nothing there to see or do.
If you're interested in snagging this to display in your collection, be sure to check out current eBay listings HERE (there are currently a couple available). As the Boardwalk Barker would say..."Hurry, Hurry, Hurry...step right up!"
