A Bug's Life: Disney Store Exclusive Snowglobe

Here we have another fantastic recent addition to my collection, the 1998 Disney Store exclusive A Bug's Life Musical Snowglobe! I was absolutely thrilled to get this for my birthday a few weeks ago and was really surprised to get one new with the box and tags. 

I felt like my collection of A Bug's Life items was lacking. It's one of my favorites and I don't think it gets enough credit. I feel like too many people have forgotten about it and that it's one of Pixar's most underrated films. I absolutely love it and it's very nostalgic for me, given that it came out when I was eight and that I grew up watching it along with Toy Story over and over.

When I saw this globe on eBay, I was really drawn to it. There are so many Disney/Pixar snow globes out there, but this one just really stood out to me as being pretty incredible. The size, weight, paint, details and overall quality to this thing is just awesome! Not to mention that it's a music box as well, that's a huge plus. 

The box that it came in was pretty massive. I was really surprised to get it with the box actually, since I just expected to get one of the loose ones on eBay. Leave it to my mom to go the extra mile! 

 

 

Here are some detailed images of all the characters around the entire globe. As you can tell, the theme here is P.T's circus and includes all of the the main characters as they appeared in the circus scene in the film. The music that plays when you wind it up is the circus theme by Randy Newman as heard in the film's soundtrack. 

 I especially love the detail of the magnifying glass. Really, how cool is that?
