Inside Out: Deluxe Figurine Playset

Released on May 4th at the Disney Store, here we have the new Disney·Pixar Inside Out Deluxe Figurine Playset- featuring 10 great characters from the film! I've been collecting most of these Disney Store figure sets for a while now (see my posts on the Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Wall·E, Up, Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation and Brave ones) since they are usually a pretty fun way to get a variety of my favorite characters from each Pixar film released.

Honestly though, the figures in these types of sets aren't always the most quality made (sometimes the figures have poor sculpts or sloppy paint jobs), but I do enjoy collecting and displaying them nonetheless. In my opinion, the best of these figurine sets has been the Up one released in 2009. I consider those figures nearly perfect with great detail, awesome likenesses to the characters, and a nice, solid weight to them (not to mention they're a little bit bigger than figures in the other sets).

Like with the Up set, the figures here in this Inside Out set are spot on and fantastically made! They are not sloppily done in the slightest and are some of the best Disney Store figures I've ever seen released. I love the size (2"- 4 1/4" tall), the sculpts, the paint jobs (emotions have cool metallic paint) and the overall make of each of the characters included here.

Speaking of characters, the 10 beautifully designed figures included with this set are: Joy, Rainbow Unicorn, Anger, Subconscious Guard Frank, Subconscious Guard Dave, Bing Bong, Sadness, Disgust, Fear and Forgetter Bobby. Each figure stands up great on their own as each is attached to a base for stability (with the exception of Anger; but he's so square that he doesn't need a base to stand up right).

For young kids who may be more rough with their toys, I can probably see the stands breaking off if tossed around too much. For older kids and adult collectors however, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

There we have it- a great Inside Out figure set available now at the Disney Store! If you are/ know a big fan of the film, then I highly recommend this set. You'll love it, especially if you're trying to track down the core characters to collect for play or display. If you don't have a local Disney Store, you can always purchase it online HERE. It retails for $19.95 (a pretty decent price if you ask me since that averages out to be about $2 per figure).
