It's been a while since I've had any new The Good Dinosaur merch to post here, so I'm excited for this one! This is a pretty rare item that I was lucky enough to track down recently and I'm thrilled to share it with you. Today we're taking a look at the 'Teen" Buck action figure from the TOMY Good Dino action figure collection! Side note- If you need a reminder, Buck is Arlo's brother in the film.
Usually I would have just added this update to my original write-up (with a brief new snippet), but I decided this one deserved its own full post. This figure is a long time coming, as this line of toys was released almost a year and a half ago (during the fall of 2015) and then came to a sudden stop. It's just crazy, after believing the line was complete, that we now have one new addition all this time later.
This figure has been on my radar for almost a year or so; ever since my good friend TJ over at PixarPost.com gave me the tip that a listing for this went up on the Target website with a single photo (however it was, and remained, "currently unavailable"). We watched that listing for months, and months and months (hoping it would come in stock)...but nothing ever happened. I think we both gave up hope that this figure would ever be released. I assumed it had been cancelled altogether.
Flash forward to just a few weeks back. While roaming around eBay late one night (as I typically do) I just happened to stumble upon a listing for him! How, when or where this was available is still a mystery to me, but I'm just happy to have snatched it up. Where did the seller find it? My guess is that mainly Target (or Toys R Us?) stores on the west coast have been getting this in stock, since every single one of the current/sold eBay listings have been located in CA. It most definitely never showed up in my area, that's for sure.
This is a fantastic figure and a fun new unexpected addition to the collection. Like the others, Buck here has some nice articulation, great likeness to the character, decent paint app and an opening mouth. He stands right around 5" tall.

As usual, with all the "small" and "large" figures in this collection, this one comes with a unique collectible "critter" that can connect to Forrest Woodbush (more on that and how this line is organized in my original post).
In addition to this full post, I've also updated/ added Buck here to my original The Good Dinosaur "small" figures post. NOW I can confidently say this line (and my personal collection of these) is 100% complete with no foreseeable future releases at this point.
