Monsters University: Disney Store "EEK" Mini Bean Bag Plush

disney store monsters university EEK plush

My Disney Store 2013 Monsters University plush collection review continues! Yup, it's still going. Today I'm taking a look at the "EEK"mini bean bag plush—full set of six. If you haven't been following along (or just need to catch up), here's a little recap of who I've reviewed so far from the MU plush collection (by category):
In Monsters U, there are six fraternities/sororities that compete in the Scare Games: Roar Omega Roar (ROR), Jaws Theta Chi (JOX), Oozma Kappa (OK), Python Nu Kappa (PNK), Slugma Slugma Kappa (EEK) and Eta Hiss Hiss (HSS). There are six members in each "house", meaning there are 36 Scare Games competitors total.

In 2013, the Disney Store released every single one of them (yes, all 36) as a mini bean bag plush (one set of six every week for six weeks straight during that summer)! I've been doing posts on these for several days now and I'm still not done yet. I feel like MU must hold the record for most characters released as plush at the Disney Store. Can anyone confirm this?

This EEK fraternity set includes members Violet Steslicki, Donna Soohoo, Brynn Larson, Maria Garcia, Carla Delgado (Leader) and Debbie Gabler. Each plush is as detailed and awesome looking as the next! They all measure somewhere between 6" and 9" tall and originally retailed for $9.95 each.

FUN FACT:  Carla "Killer Claws" Benitez, as seen and mentioned during MU (when the Oozma Kappa gang is looking over the scare floor of Monsters Inc.) was an alumni of this sorority during her time at Monsters University.

Again, a job well done to, not only the design team who worked on the actual film, but also the team behind creating these plush. The characters here are super fun looking (love their obvious athletic personalities) and are captured quite perfectly in plush form!

These are quality stitched, have nice embroidered features, are vibrant in color, have decent likenesses to the actual characters and are made from some very soft materials overall (I especially love Donna's, Debbie's and Maria's fluffy hair). As far as favorites this time around, I'm going to have to go with the three I just mentioned— particularly Donna (she's just so unique and odd looking, it cracks me up!).

If you're a Monsters University fan, I definitely recommend trying to track these down. This whole collection of fraternity/sorority bean bags is a lot of fun! I especially love how unique most of these characters are (I mean, have you ever seen any other products of Maria, Donna or Debbie?!). Just awesome.

Be sure to check out current eBay listings using this direct link (that's where I got mine here all these years later) and stay tuned for a couple more posts featuring more from this collection right here soon.
