Incredibles 2: Funko Mrs. Incredible "Mystery Mini" (Disney Treasures Exclusive)

"Disney Treasures" is a Disney themed subscription box from Funko which features 100% exclusive items delivered right to your door every other month. Every box has its own unique sub-theme and array of collectibles; for example, the box for the month of April was simply called "Adventures" (seen below) and included an Orville with Miss Bianca and Bernard Funko "POP!" (based on The Rescuers), a Stitch Luggage Tag, a Robin Hood Pin, a Peter Pan Patch, an Adventure Sticker and a Mrs. Incredible (Elastigirl) "Mystery Mini" vinyl figure with collectible tin which I'll be reviewing in this post!

I'm not a Disney Treasures subscriber, but I am a [Pixar] Funko Mystery Mini collector...so of course I had to track down this adorable Elastigirl figure, which I ended up resorting to eBay for (I paid around $10). With all the hype surrounding Incredibles 2 (hitting theaters in exactly a month from today on June 15th), how could I resist? Note: After some research, I now see that the Disney Treasures subscription box service has ended. It is no more. However, though this "Adventures" box was the very last one from that era, Funko apparently has plans to continue the Disney Treasures boxes in a new way as Hot Topic exclusives. Anyway, let's get to checking out this figure. Elastigirl stands at about 3" tall and, if you couldn't already tell, is super cute in her design (which, by the way, is completely different from the Mrs. Incredible included in the main blind box Mystery Mini line). I love the chubby, minimal style used here, as well as her classic super hero stance. The paint job (at least on mine) is extremely well done with some really great detailing overall (love those subtle rosy cheeks). She has no articulation (not even the head), but unlike the Woody one from last year, stands up quite fine on her own. 

 

As mentioned, Elastigirl even comes with this fantastic Incredibles 2 inspired collectible tin container to store her in or next to! How cool is that? The now iconic minimal artwork by Eric Tan, which you'll probably recognize at this point (it's been heavily used as the main promotional art for the film, showing up in posters and on countless products), wraps around the tin on all sides.
