Another day in June, another Pixar film's anniversary! Today I'm celebrating 3 YEARS since the theatrical release of Cars 3 (June 16th, 2017) and thought it would be fun to take a look at a really cute book that I discovered recently—Mater's Backward ABC Book! This book was released clear back in the fall 2017 and it completely slid under my radar. I spotted it on Amazon not too long ago and couldn't believe I had never heard of it, so I asked for it for my birthday! I knew immediately that it would be adorable and dadgum I was right.
Why backward ABCs you ask? Don't forget, Mater's the world's best backwards driver...it makes perfect sense! It's a really fun twist on your standard ABC style book, written by Lisa Wheeler and beautifully illustrated by Satoshi Hashimoto. It's Pixar perfection.
In this hardcover book (40 pages), Mater teaches the alphabet from Z to A with words and names from all three Cars films (as well as general car/vehicle related words). Both young Cars fans and their parents will get a kick out of it! It's very clever.
