Just re-released from Mattel, here we have the "Deluxe" size T.J. Hummer 1:55 scale diecast from the original Cars! This character hasn't hit shelves in many years, so it's pretty cool to finally have him back. I have the small (standard single card), off-scale version of T.J., but I had never gotten the improved Deluxe version—that is until now! This one is a much better, more movie accurate scale compared to the standard version I have (see the two compared in THIS image). I'm happy to have it now as part of my collection!
As shown in the screen shot above, T.J. Hummer is a character seen during the end credits of the original Cars. During the credits, Sarge is seen in charge of a new boot camp for troubled young SUVs—T.J. being one of them. He's the one who complains "I've never been off-road!"
