Released a couple years back, here we have the Cars 2 Mattel 1:55 scale diecast of Sgt. Highgear! He is part of the 2018 "Scavenger Hunt" sub-series and is a Deluxe sized "Super Chase" character (no more than 4,000 units are produced). And unlike some, this diecast really earns the "Deluxe" packaging and price point with that oversized body and giant bearskin cap.
As shown in the screen shot above, Sgt. Highgear can be seen as one of the guards at Buckingham Palace at the end of Cars 2. You probably remember Mater making funny faces at him right before seeing the queen to get knighted.
This is a brilliant and super unique diecast! There's never been any other character like this made and it's fun to have any new cars from Cars 2 these days. If you're still looking to add Sgt.
