Toy Story: Buzz Lightyear & Trixie 7" Action Figure 2-Pack (by Mattel)

You thought it was over? It's far from over! Mattel's popular line of Toy Story posable 7" action figures (which debuted last spring with the release of Toy Story 4) will be continuing all through 2020 (and into 2021 from what I understand) with brand new characters! This year marks the 25th anniversary of Toy Story as well, so the packaging now reflects that. Also new for this year, all Pixar characters across all the films released by Mattel are now streamlined under one big PIXAR series umbrella—which I seriously love.

Mattel's latest offering in this 7" collection is Trixie, as featured in this 2-Pack with Buzz Lightyear! While the Buzz is unfortunately the exact same figure that's been released numerous times as a single and in multi-packs over the past year, Trixie here is brand NEW (never before released in this scale)! I still can't believe there's never been a full-scale Trixie toy released after 10 years (that's a whole other tangent ), but this is the next best thing I suppose for now. Regardless, this is a pretty awesome addition to the 7" line, as I enjoy seeing that collection expanding as well!

Buzz (7" tall) and Trixie (9.5" long) are fully posable—Trixie can even open her mouth, which was a nice touch! This set retails for $19.99.

These are great figures as usual! Really well done. My only complaint is that so many of the new characters in this line are being released in packs with characters that have already been out for a while. I've had to get several Buzz and Woody figures because of this. Trixie could have been packed with any number of new characters, like Mr. Pricklepants, Dolly, Buttercup, Peas in a Pod, etc...why Buzz? That's really my only issue, but it has nothing to do with the quality of the figures themselves. They're solid.

So far I've only seen this set released on Amazon, so be sure to use the link below if you're interested in picking this up for your collection! No word yet if this will also be available at stores like Walmart or Target, but I'll let you know here as an update as soon as I find out.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts down in the comments!
