Cars: Escape from Frank Story Set

This "Escape from Frank" Track Set is part of Mattel's 2015 1:55 scale "Story Sets" series, which is a line of plastic connectible playsets and launchers to re-create key scenes from the film. It's really a fun lineup! Check out other sets I've posted from this collection such as the Cozy Cone Spiral Rampway, Piston Cup Pit Stop Launcher, Highway Hideout Launcher, Tractor Tippin' Launcher and Mack Truck Playset.

You can check out the different features (as well as some of the other playsets it can connect to) on the back of the package.

Now lets take this set out and get it assembled! Here's everything that comes in the box-

Assembly (plus decals) took about 10 minutes. It was one of Mattel's easier Cars track sets to put together (sometimes the directions can be confusing, but this one was quite simple). The whole track set is a pretty decent size!

It comes with three plastic characters: Frank, Lightning Mcqueen and a tractor.

Play Features:

Pound the launcher there at the bottom of the track set to send Mcqueen (or the character of your choosing) speeding around the bend! The harder you pound, the faster he'll go.

Repeat multiple times to trigger Frank (it's at random, no precise number); He'll break through the fence to chase after any tractor tippin trouble makers!

Speaking of tractor tipping, the cars will make the tractor "tip" (more like wobble a bit) as they roll past it! A fun little detail.

As seen below, you can also put Frank's sign down to make an escape launch ramp out of it. Pretty neat!

Overall, I enjoy the Cars playsets and track sets in general. I think they're a lot of fun and this one is no exception! My two year old nephew loves them (especially this one) and can literally play with them for hours on end.

This one retails for $24.99 and can still be found in stores. If you'd rather just pick it up online though, check out the direct link to Amazon below. Highly recommended for your little Cars fans!
