It's time for another look at one of this year's brand new Cars 3 Mattel 1:55 scale diecast characters... Jen Tansedan! The one I have here, which I found at my local Walmart not too long ago, is carded on the new 2020 packaging; however, she was released earlier on in the summer in the 2019 packaging as well (seen HERE). Jen is part of the 2019 "The Cotter Pin" sub-series.
As shown in the screen capture above, Jen Tansedan can be spotted in a couple brief shots during the Cotter Pin bar scene.
The coolest thing about this car is actually her name! Jen Tansedan is a reference to Jen Tan, Creative Director at Consumer Products at Pixar. She's someone I look up to and admire a ton, so this car is a special one to me in that sense. It's also super clever that the character is literally a tan Sedan...kudos to whoever named/designed this character! And congrats to Jen, who's now part of the elite group of Pixarians whose name's been "carified".
