OooOOOooooOOOooo. Here's an interSTELLAR item I received for my birthday last May...this Toy Story inspired Pizza Planet Alien/Claw Machine Notebook (or journal)! This was released at the Disney Store and ShopDisney.com on April 1st 2019 and, though I already have too many Pixar notebooks to count, this was one I couldn't resist asking for. I love any and all Pizza Planet themed merch and I was really drawn to this cover's minimal style screen art! It may be hard to tell from my photos (look closely below), but the rocketship on the front even has some dimension to it. Very cool touch.
What's also really neat and unique about this hardbound journal is that it's actually a 3-in-1. The tip of the rocket pulls out to be a bookmark and the Alien in the prize slot on the cover is actually a sticky note pad with 20 sheets! The size of the book is 6" W x 8.5" H x 1/2" D and it originally retailed for $14.95.
I love the classic "I Have Been Chosen" quote on the cover and spine, as well as the Pizza Planet/Alien icon on the back!
Upon opening, you'll first notice that the endpapers feature great art of the Aliens and two more quotes: "The Claw is Our Master" and "OOOOH!".
The journal has 80 sheets (160 pages) of grid paper featuring more Alien artwork alongside the bottom of each page. This is my only issue—I had no idea it was grid/graph paper. I'll certainly never be using it for plotting graphs of functions, experimental data or drawing curves. Oh well. Hopefully I can find some other use for it, but the grid lines make it harder to write just simple notes in.
Besides the graph style pages, I really do love this journal (mainly because of the amazing art and colors, plus some of the unique features). Though it's since sold out at the Disney Store, you can actually find it on Amazon if you're interested in picking one up! I'll include a direct link below.
