Mack, Lightning McQueen's personal semi-truck driver in Cars and Cars 2, has seen his fair share of releases over the years. From playsets, to carrying cases (whether by Mattel or Disney Store), Mack has proven to be a favorite character collectible since the film debuted in 2006.
This is a Mattel 1:55 scale "Deluxe" (or "Mega") size diecast car based on his appearance in the film when he has his trailer detached (screen shot above).
This Mack diecast has been available a few times in the various lines Mattel has released. This one shown here from my collection was just released this year in the 2014 "World of Cars" line and is available now in stores. If you missed the initial release and previous re-releases, now is your chance to snag it before it's gone again.
FUN FACTS:
- Mack is voiced by John Ratzenberger, who has voice a character in every single Pixar film to date (PT Flea, Hamm, Abominable Snowman and the Underminer to name a few). He is referred to as Pixar's "lucky charm."
- In Cars 2, John Ratzenburger has the least amount of lines out of all 14 Pixar films (only 2 lines).
