Cars 2: Denise Beam

Here we have another Cars 2 brand new release (or technically re-release) from Mattel...Denise Beam! She is a 1:55 scale diecast car and is part of the 2014 "Race Fans" sub-line. She literally just started showing up in stores within the last month (or two) so you have a good chance of finding her in stores. I just found her yesterday at my local Toys R Us.

She was originally released a few years back in a Target exclusive 4-pack (which also included Lightning Mcqueen and two other WGP racers, seen HERE).

As seen in the screen shot above, Denise is seen laughing in the "Mater's dream" sequence as Mater bangs on the gong. However, she is also seen a couple other times throughout the film, such as at the Tokyo party, the race stands at the WGP and the Tokyo airport. She is a big Carla Veloso fan, hence the flag.

Fun Fact: Like so often with these minor background cars, Denise is named after a Pixar employee. Her name is a spin off of the producer's name, Denise Ream.
