Hey Disney·Pixar Cars fans! I'm finally back with another Mattel 1:55 scale diecast review...from Cars 2, here we have Corporal Josh Coolant! I was so excited to find this one at Walmart earlier this week, especially since I haven't found any new cars in months. This is a "Deluxe" size release and is part of this year's "London Chase" sub-series.
It's so awesome to have a brand new, never-before released character from Cars 2. That doesn't happen very often these days! As shown in the screenshot above, Corporal Josh Coolant of the British Army can be seen next to Sarge at the very end of the chase through London sequence. Sarge thanks him for the help, in which Josh replies "anything for one of Pop's mates". I would love to see all of the army vehicles from this moment made.
Josh was initially suppose to be released in 2017, but was cancelled. I'm glad Mattel didn't forget about him! I've been looking forward to this one for a while now.
FUN FACT: Josh Coolant is named after Pixarian Josh Cooley, director of Toy Story 4.
