From Cars 3, tonight I'm taking a quick look at yet another newly released Mattel 1:55 scale diecast...Andrew Vrooman! Andrew hit shelves last spring in the red 2019 packaging and then again just recently here in the 2020 "blue desert" packaging (both are part of "The Cotter Pin" sub-series). I missed his original release, so I was so glad to see him available again.
As shown in the screen cap above, Andrew is based on a 1970 Chevrolet El Camino and can be spotted in a couple brief shots during the Cotter Pin bar scene. You know I always love the retro characters!
Fun Fact: He named after Pixar employee Andrew Vernon.
