Here's a character from the original Cars that I've been needing to track down for almost a decade now...Antonio Veloce Eccellente! This car has been released several times since 2010 (even as recently as just last year), but somehow I've missed finding him every time. I was so happy to finally score him a couple weeks back, as he's just been released yet again in the 2020 "blue desert" packaging (part of this year's "Radiator Springs" sub-series). As usual, this is a 1:55 scale diecast from Mattel.
As shown in the screen shot above, Antonio Eccellente is an Italian luxary sports sedan that pulls up to Casa Della Tires at the end of the film with Michael Schumacher (the Ferrari Luigi and Guido faint over) and Costanzo Della Corsa. I've had the other two for so long that it feels amazing to finally complete the trio here! I absolutely love this moment from Cars, it cracks me up every time.
