For tonight's post, I'm taking a quick look at this new Mattel Cars 3 1:55 scale 2-pack featuring Maddy McGear and Melissa Bernabrake! This set was released a couple months back and can still be found pretty easily at both Walmart and Target. It is part of the 2020 "Florida 500" sub-series.
Though Maddy McGear was already released more than two years ago (see my original post HERE), unfortunately I had to get her again in order to get this brand new Melissa Bernabrake diecast (who is currently only available in this 2-pack). That's how they get us!
As shown in the screen shot above, Maddy is the Lightning McQueen super fan seen in the stands during the film's opening sequence (as well as the film's climatic Florida 500 race). She's the little red car who yells "LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!" and, at the end, "CRUZ RAMIREZ!" Melissa Bernabrake is supposed to be her mom, though I don't know why they look completely different and have different last names. Must be a complex situation at home. 🤷🏻♂️
