These bright purple striped socks may seem silly, but once you've seen Onward, you understand how important they are to the character of Wilden Lightfoot (Dad). The socks were a calulated character design choice to represent the confidence Wilden had when he was alive—a trait that Ian recognizes and wants to emulate in his own life given that he lacks the boldness his father once had; to be someone sure of themself and without a care about what others think. That's the message these socks give off and I'm thrilled to have them as part of my collection thanks to BoxLunch Gifts!
While these don't match the stripe pattern seen in the film 100% (I don't believe there are any white stripes in Wilden's actual sock design), the general idea is here and the statement is still made. They are super comfortable (97% polyester; 3% spandex), have "Lightfoot" lettering embroidered on the ankles (love that detail) and retail for $9.90 (though currently on sale for only $7.92—visit HERE). Great socks for a great price.
I ended up enjoying the film so much, that I couldn't resist grabbing a pair of these!
