On June 23rd 2018, Pixar Pier (formerly Paradise Pier) at Disney's California Adventure opened to the public! I still have yet to go there in person, but really hope to finally visit once the world is back to normal. At the pier, there are four Pixar inspired classic carnival/boardwalk games that guests can enjoy: Heimlich's Candy Corn Toss, Wall·E Space Race,Bullseye Stallion Stampede and La Luna Star Catcher (a fishing game based on one of my favorite Pixar shorts)!
This adorable little smiling star plush here is one of the prizes that you can win at the La Luna Star Catcher game. I obviously didn't personally win this, but thanks to my good friend Paulina, I'm happy to have it as part of my collection! It's a little bit of the magic of the pier at home until I get to experience it myself.
There are seven prizes you can win at Star Catcher (five small, one medium and one large—see them all HERE) and this cutie is one of the "small" ones! My son Aidan currently has a nursery featuring suns, moons, stars and clouds, so this will be making an appearance soon on his moon shelf when we're all finished. It'll be a little subtle Pixar nod!
