Toy Story 3: Sparks

To finish up Thinkway Toy's Sunnyside gang trio (followed by Twitch and Chunk), here is Sparks the robot from Toy Story 3! Like the others, this is full, movie accurate size toy...but not quite as movie accurate as the other ones as far as most of the details go (but it's still awesome and fun to have Sparks in some way! I'll take this Sparks over no Sparks any day).

Here is the toy description of the movie (just to be clear, not this Thinkway toy description but the fictitious one seen in the film) Sparks from the official Toy Story 3 website:

"Sparks will fly - literally - during electrifying playtimes with your new robot friend Sparks! This retro-inspired toy has flashing red LED eyes and a blaster cavity that actually spits out real sparks when he's rolled along on his sturdy rubber wheels. Sparks also sports telescoping arms with working pincers, and an elevator action that raises his entire body to new heights. Sparking action completely child-safe. Requires two AA batteries (not included)."

This Sparks is a plastic, not metal/tin, toy and does not have the actual sparks feature in his chest (instead "it's a little light-bulb that blinks"...catch that? ;). The light turns by pressing down his head OR by  rolling him back and forth. He also does not have light up LED eyes or elevator action as seen in the film. He does have the "telescoping arms" and "working pincher" which is a plus.

As far as the look of this Sparks, he looks great and does look almost exactly like the Sparks from the film even if it doesn't have all the same features. I would definitely recommend this if you can track it down (it's a bit hard to find now) as it's the most accurate version out there right now for your Toy Story Collection! Any other Sparks released have just been small scale action figures and not a replica size.

And here is a brief video I took of the light up feature in action:

Also if you would like to see more of this Sparks outside of its package, check out this YouTube video review by user JTMitchell87:

Thanks once again for checking out the blog and come back every day for more updates from my Pixar collection! Stay tuned.
